Recent Fundraising at Crime Prevention Services
We've been fundraising this winter and we'd like to share more with you!
Cancer Research UK
In October, we decided to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK. The topic of cancer is a cause that is very close to our collective hearts and we all know somebody who has been affected by cancer in our lives.
The challenge was simple: walk 100 miles in October…each! As well as raising money for a truly worthwhile cause, our fundraising activities also proved an excellent team building exercise for our new starters in October! From group lunchtime walks to rambling up the iconic Moel Famau, we collectively managed to walk well over 100 miles each, with MD Karen Farrell clocking an impressive 180+ miles on her own. In fact, we’ve heard reports that she was spotted on holiday walking around the pool to hit her goal!
How did we do it? Supporting each other played a huge part in conquering the goal, with group chats, team walks and 100% positive reinforcement from the outset. We are so proud to have such a dedicated and hardworking team.

Macmillan Cake Sale
We went all out this year for our Macmillan coffee morning. Our team created artwork, a balloon display and of course supplied the incredible cakes! We were lucky to have homemade cakes and pastries and the team were more than happy to get stuck in.
As well as raising money for another worthwhile cause, it was such a wonderful opportunity to sit down as a team and chat, catch up on life and further build the strong team bond we’re lucky to have at Crime Prevention Services.
We’re happy to report we raised just shy of £80 just from our team! As well as their generosity providing some beautiful baked goodies, everybody contributed to each other meaning we were able to raise something to give back.
There was plenty to go home with as well!
We have lots of fundraising planned in for 2024 and we can’t wait to share with you what our team have been up to again. It’s always a pleasure to see how much our team love to give back!
